Designing a Technical Experience
MoodBoard partnered with Tunnel 7 to translate deeply technical products into an accessible and visually compelling digital experience. We designed and developed a modern website that simplifies complex motion tracking systems into clear, engaging narratives—balancing engineering credibility with usability. The goal was to create a platform that not only informs but also demonstrates the sophistication of Polhemus technology through intuitive structure, strong visual hierarchy, and interactive storytelling.
Polhemus has been a pioneer in 3D motion tracking technology for over five decades, building high-fidelity systems that capture movement with extreme precision. From electromagnetic 6DOF tracking to eye-tracking and 3D scanning, their technology powers critical applications across healthcare, military training, virtual reality, and advanced research. Their products are known for low-latency performance and embeddable sensors that enable seamless integration into complex environments—helping engineers, researchers, and innovators better understand motion in both physical and digital spaces.
Interactive Systems with Rive
Beyond visuals, we developed custom interactive components using Rive to bring motion tracking concepts to life directly within the browser. These lightweight, responsive interactions allow users to engage with key product features in real time—mirroring the dynamic nature of Polhemus technology itself. By combining motion design, interactivity, and performance-driven development, Moodboard delivered a digital experience that reflects the innovation and precision at the core of the Polhemus brand.
Bringing Products to Life in 3D
To elevate understanding and engagement, Moodboard created high-end 3D product visualizations that showcase Polhemus hardware with precision and clarity. These visuals highlight the form, function, and technical detail of each system, allowing users to explore products in a way that static imagery cannot. We extended this further with a series of playful yet informative 3D animations—bridging the gap between technical accuracy and brand personality while reinforcing how the technology behaves in real-world applications.
